In a world full of fear and self-doubt, it is amazing how far we COULD have gone if we pushed through those negative emotions and ideals. Right now, our world is full of negative energy – political views and challenges, viruses spreading around the world, war and outbreaks of fighting and protests at almost every turn. What do we do with this energy? If we put our head in the game and take that first step towards healing, the outcome will be different.
Being a leader means challenging ideas and allowing for creativity to flourish. When there is an excess of negative news and information, it is easy for teams to literally lose their way. They stop working well together, they begin to lash out at the leader or one another and they simply don’t have that dance flowing as it should. It is almost as if the music has stopped and people walk off the stage or fall to the ground. Taking that next step becomes impossible without that music and a great leader.
Your role as a leader is to keep the dance moving ahead. New and emerging leaders are still learning the subtleties of making this happen and can often use some support in this endeavor. Negative energy can literally knock anyone off their feet but this is especially true for newer leaders.
